The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xiao Gaztelumendi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Espigão Steamrollers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Maximo León. In the 25th minute Yuri Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arias Burgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arias Burgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lucio Fano came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the C.A. GUAYACO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Fano couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Dênis Paulista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Fano. 38 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Xiao Gaztelumendi came free, but Dênis Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Meira came free, but Arias Burgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Xiao Gaztelumendi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. GUAYACO's protests and gave Xiao Gaztelumendi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, C.A. Arias Burgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Meira in the 46th minute of the match. After 53 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Arona. Yuri Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Arias Burgo made a huge save. Arias Burgo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmyr Meira went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dênis Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Fano, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Naldo Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Naldo Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Espigão Steamrollers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Peres to maneuver through the defense. C.A. GUAYACO made a substitution. Dênis Paulista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfaro Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. C.A. GUAYACO's Arias Burgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Paranaense in the 95th minute of play.
