The Naboonga Wild Katt FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filiberto Rodas should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute David Miro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leo Ledesma came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Defensores de Mar de Ajó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Ledesma couldn't finish the play. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelino Bartolome was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when David Miro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Benedicto Iago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Miro. Filiberto Rodas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Donostia went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. But to his dismay, Marcelino Bartolome quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Filiberto Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Jaen in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Marcos Donostia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filiberto Rodas. In the 93rd minute, Marcos Donostia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filiberto Rodas was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Defensores de Mar de Ajó were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Naboonga Wild Katt FC for a fine match.
