In the 44th minute, one of AFC CERBEROS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC CERBEROS. The referee gave Pilar FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pablo Mouche, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AFC CERBEROS's Mauro Joachim. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Azibar made a kick off. Nicolas Valentini's late challenge caught a AFC CERBEROS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Azibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Llucs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Mauro Joachim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute of the match, Paolo Lalla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mauro Joachim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Azibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Alfonso Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Orion having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Pilar FC's Alejandro Donati seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alejandro Donati the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pilar FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alejandro Donati had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Serafino Ofelio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Lopez in the 95th minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Pilar FC defense, Felix Azibar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustin Orion. The Pilar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustin Orion should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pilar FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
