The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Sven Kilström with Pål Siöberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sven Kilström made in the 5th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pål Siöberg immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Colin in the 8th minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Oğuzkan Temizöz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejbystrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Oğuzkan Temizöz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Palme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Hammarbäck to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Colin in the 17th minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vännäsby BF's Olof Palme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Vännäsby BF from getting a goal against them. In the 21st match minute, Vännäsby BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Kilström to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Ekberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Karlsson in the 24th minute of the match. Osvald Ekström scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Ekberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Hammarbäck in the 32nd minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Olof Palme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match, Oğuzkan Temizöz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olof Palme saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Alexander Wallmark fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vännäsby BF's protests and gave Alexander Wallmark a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Vännäsby BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Wallmark to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes Vännäsby BF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Timmy Asplund who took care of the corner kick. Arne Karlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Ekberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Otto Colin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kurt Ekberg having to make a save. The Vejbystrand players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vännäsby BF were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Birger Hammarbäck made a kick off. In the 59thth minute of the game Oğuzkan Temizöz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vännäsby BF's Olof Palme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvald Ekström got free with Kurt Ekberg in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Sven Kilström threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vejbystrand's Algot Forsberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 70 minutes into the match, Vännäsby BF's goal looked a bit too open when Oğuzkan Temizöz came free, but Olof Palme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthon Strömbom struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Olof Palme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vejbystrand. Vännäsby BF's Olof Palme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuzkan Temizöz in the 78th minute of play. Otto Colin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Ekberg having to interfere. Olof Palme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthon Strömbom went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Vejbystrand were victorious despite being under pressure from Vännäsby BF for much of the match.
