An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Rompel in the 2nd minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Vilas Boas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Vera in the 4th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Noel Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Vilas Boas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelly Hopson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose José in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose José in the 12th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Queirós during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in MZ Fénix's zone, Owen Vera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Vilas Boas came out of the goal and Owen Vera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Vilanova hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Delfim Vilas Boas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Vera in the 21st minute of play. After 28 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Cruz. 31 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Vera came free, but Delfim Vilas Boas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes, Lázaro Caldas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZ Fénix and the C. A. Pipon Pipon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Lázaro Caldas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the MZ Fénix defense, Owen Vera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Vilas Boas. The MZ Fénix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Vilas Boas should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Francisco Pope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Taborda. Rui Taborda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Francisco Pope skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rui Taborda in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francisco Pope, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
The wind increased when Kelly Hopson made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Owen Vera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Delfim Vilas Boas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 56 minutes into the match, Kelly Hopson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delfim Vilas Boas, 0-3. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Normando Maltez got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Rui Taborda came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Taborda couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Rui Taborda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Vilanova's late challenge caught a C. A. Pipon Pipon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Vilanova helped the player get up and apologised. Francisco Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Taborda, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The attack was good, but when Rui Taborda in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 76th minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Kelly Hopson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Delfim Vilas Boas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jose José showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. In the 84th minute, Jose José reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Delfim Vilas Boas. The goal made the score 0-6. With a little luck, MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas got control of the ball when Owen Vera tried to sneak it across the goal line. The C. A. Pipon Pipon fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when C. A. Pipon Pipon's Owen Vera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 91 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Kern came free, but Delfim Vilas Boas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Jose José left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Pipon Pipon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The MZ Fénix fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Pipon Pipon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
