In the 15th minute, Micah True ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saúl Sampaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Internacional Pechofrío's Marko Cosio got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience held their breath when Benedito Cerqueira in the 37th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ted Lasso's left hand side. Saúl Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Roger Bannister sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Maia hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Bannister was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Sporting Tuga FC's Ted Lasso threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mete Mete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Henrique Araújo 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Ted Lasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Mete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Lasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Araújo's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Mete Mete reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ted Lasso. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 74th match minute, Sporting Tuga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Mourinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Henrique Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Lasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Cerqueira made a great header on Sporting Tuga FC's corner, it was just that Internacional Pechofrío's Ted Lasso managed to reach the ball for a save. Henrique Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ted Lasso made a huge save.
