Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. SV Wissenkerke's Nigel Need played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Cluceru in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Freek Lange notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of GoooooL's Mihăiţă Ştefulescu. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Siepel's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 31 minutes of play, GoooooL's Leonard Cluceru made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nigel Need was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Eising in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, SV Wissenkerke's Danny Eising nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Danny Eising had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Nigel Need made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Cluceru in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Eising came free, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Danny Eising shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Molodețiu was the one to do the kick off. Jack Siepel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Jack Siepel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Siepel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Mihăiţă Ştefulescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st minute, SV Wissenkerke's Jack Siepel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mihăiţă Ştefulescu. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. A collision led to GoooooL getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Calistrat Neaga hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Marcel Molodețiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjors Breugel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
