The Inmortales FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Inmortales FC's Mitch Rushing looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aureliano Herena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mitch Rushing in the 26th minute. Cristopher Herndon came out of the goal and Sebastián Izquierdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Cage in the 56th minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Aureliano Herena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureliano Herena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rickie Dobbs's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Sebastián Izquierdo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Aureliano Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Rushing in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Mauro Efren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cory Cangiano came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Inmortales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cory Cangiano couldn't finish the play. Baldomiro Hodei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Cristopher Herndon made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Cory Cangiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inmortales FC's Cristopher Herndon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Izquierdo in the 94th minute of play. Rickie Dobbs kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Inmortales FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Martin Palermo F.C. for a fine match.
