After a rather tough play, AC Superstar's Sven Söderberg got a free kick in the 18th minute. With a little luck, AC Superstar's Charles Johansson got control of the ball when Baldomiro Hodei tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Baldomiro Hodei took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Charles Johansson to make any attempt to save it. Sebastián Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Aureliano Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Brun in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Aureliano Herena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Superstar. After 77 minutes of play, AC Superstar's Harry Hernström made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Efren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Johansson having to interfere.
