In the 5th minute, Toninho Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Valera in the 8th minute of play forced Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Patrik Sikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ramon Sotomayor took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Patrik Sikström to make any attempt to save it. Salvador Valera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Alianza Lima. booed when Seterma Tractors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Ramon Sotomayor got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petrus Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorio Villagomez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petrus Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. If Chollatit Reungaksorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s goal looked a bit too open when Petrus Catarinense came free, but Dorio Villagomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Lisandro Alebio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dorio Villagomez came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Seterma Tractors's Osvaldo Terra. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Petrus Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorio Villagomez having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Toninho Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seterma Tractors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Chollatit Reungaksorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Chollatit Reungaksorn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seterma Tractors's supporters rose to their feet, but Chollatit Reungaksorn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With his leg Dorio Villagomez managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Seterma Tractors's Petrus Catarinense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
