In the 11thth minute of the game Asbjørn Ringfelt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Gullegem's Wilfried Jamieson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iván Villafane scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfried Jamieson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, lyptus's Iván Villafane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfried Jamieson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 26th minute, Asbjørn Ringfelt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilfried Jamieson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some careless play in the SK Gullegem defense, Asbjørn Ringfelt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfried Jamieson. The SK Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfried Jamieson should have stopped the shot. Wilfried Jamieson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Villafane in the 35th minute of play. Iván Villafane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Will Jamieson. In the 41st minute, one of SK Gullegem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SK Gullegem. 46 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Wilfried Jamieson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iván Villafane.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remco de Nooter was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Villafane came free, but Wilfried Jamieson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes, Mathis Van Eede mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Gullegem and the lyptus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Mathis Van Eede. Will Jamieson's late challenge caught a lyptus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Will Jamieson helped the player get up and apologised. SK Gullegem's Wilfried Jamieson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asbjørn Ringfelt in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Iván Villafane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfried Jamieson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Villafane in the 64th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Wilfried Jamieson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Iván Villafane sped through SK Gullegem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilfried Jamieson.
