With 16 minutes on the clock, Edgar Olchowy commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Russówek's Tadeusz Pozorski got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Tadeusz Pozorski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Russówek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Leszek Psotka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bandit Banks. FC NORDLAND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leszek Psotka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Sylwester Kolano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Birger Benett managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC NORDLAND's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Benett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lech Nakoneczny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 minutes, Tadeusz Pozorski mouthed his way into the referee's book.
