Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) DJK Füchtel Vechta's Peter Bührer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Bareiro got free with Wayne Knoppertz in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Peter Bührer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Joseph Lötters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DJK Füchtel Vechta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spams the free kick. In the 15th minute, Joseph Lötters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Manuel Engelmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximino Urtsin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Spams booed when DJK Füchtel Vechta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Bührer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, DJK Füchtel Vechta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lötters to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goalkeeper Wayne Knoppertz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Bareiro. After having played for 37 minutes, Manuel Engelmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DJK Füchtel Vechta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Engelmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Bührer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Urtsin having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match, Gaspar Pacho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wayne Knoppertz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wayne Knoppertz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Pacho in the 48th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Spams's Andrej Kramarić was substituted for Gaspar Pacho. Emanuel Mouricio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Engelmann in the 58th minute of play forced Spams's goalkeeper Maximino Urtsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anno Besken struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Maximino Urtsin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DJK Füchtel Vechta. When Alfonso Savion fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spams's protests and gave Alfonso Savion a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Spams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Savion to maneuver through the defense. Wayne Knoppertz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Escobar in the 72nd minute of play. Vedran Ćorluka kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Maximino Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Bührer, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Wayne Knoppertz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrej Kramarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Wayne Knoppertz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Mouricio in the 81st minute of play. After 81 played minutes DJK Füchtel Vechta got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Lötters. Spams made a substitution. Americo Matia replaced Emanuel Mouricio. In the 82nd match minute, DJK Füchtel Vechta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lötters to maneuver through the defense. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Wayne Knoppertz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Matia in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Aljoša Asanović. 89 minutes into the game, Herminio Escobar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wayne Knoppertz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Americo Matia came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Spams fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Matia couldn't finish the play.
