Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5794, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reinaldo Calado started the match with the kick off. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Reynaldo Oso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save VERDOLAGA CITY FC from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Calado came free, but Reynaldo Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terciero Orantes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Iratxo Arizmendi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ponte do Carro's Jorge Valério was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ponte do Carro's Noel Pacheco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynaldo Oso. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Bikendi Axeitos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Valério was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After 21 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Calado. In the 24th minute Humberto Mascarenhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Oso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Iratxo Arizmendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iratxo Arizmendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Valério breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Oso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Mascarenhas in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bikendi Axeitos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Valério was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Jorge Padilha fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponte do Carro's protests and gave Jorge Padilha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jorge Padilha hit a great ball. António Guerra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reynaldo Oso. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Padilha came free, but Reynaldo Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Cuesta during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 46 minutes into the game, one of VERDOLAGA CITY FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. António Guerra shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bikendi Axeitos to strike the kick off in the second half. Israel Salazar's late challenge caught a VERDOLAGA CITY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Israel Salazar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VERDOLAGA CITY FC booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Salazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Reinaldo Calado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Oso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 64th minute, Terciero Orantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Jorge Padilha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Reynaldo Oso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iratxo Arizmendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Calado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Oso. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Calado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bikendi Axeitos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Valério made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iratxo Arizmendi in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match, Bikendi Axeitos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jorge Valério was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bikendi Axeitos got free with Jorge Valério in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ponte do Carro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
