Cobus Hemmen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Ardizzoni in the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnold Holthuis got free with Vicens Magofke in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Colo-Colo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnold Holthuis made a kick off. A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Arnold Holthuis hit a great ball. Cobus Hemmen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolito Neira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Colo-Colo's Alexis Ardizzoni ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cobus Hemmen. Cobus Hemmen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. David Henríquez hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold Holthuis came free, but Vicens Magofke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicens Magofke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert Schaars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lemel SV's Cobus Hemmen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Ardizzoni in the 64th minute of play. Roberto Rivelino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tonny Sneijder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicens Magofke having to interfere. Alexis Ardizzoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Cobus Hemmen made a huge save. 84 minutes in the game, Manolito Neira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cobus Hemmen having to interfere. Cobus Hemmen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolito Neira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Cobus Hemmen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Ardizzoni in the 95th minute of play. The Lemel SV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Colo-Colo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
