Isac Walmarsson took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Mincu. Nicu Mincu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 16th minute Isac Walmarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Mincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes, Silviu Bădila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Luck and the Newcastle United F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, FC Luck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Bădila to maneuver through the defense. Gelu Bulă hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Isac Walmarsson scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicu Mincu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Luck's Gelu Bulă got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eduard Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Isac Walmarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Mincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Eduard Mutu made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Fredriksson. Newcastle United F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Alfred Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Bulă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 52 minutes, Gheorghe Comăneci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gheorghe Comăneci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Isac Walmarsson came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Newcastle United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Walmarsson couldn't finish the play. Gavril Neicu's late challenge caught a Newcastle United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavril Neicu helped the player get up and apologised. Gavril Neicu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goalkeeper Nicu Mincu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Walmarsson. In the 66th minute, Yngve Hök hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Luck's Nicu Mincu got control of the ball when Isac Walmarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Eduard Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Bulă in the 72nd minute of play forced Newcastle United F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfred Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Per Trillkott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Per Trillkott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Mincu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Silviu Hrandabur hit a great ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Per Trillkott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newcastle United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Trillkott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Silviu Hrandabur fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Luck's protests and gave Silviu Hrandabur a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Newcastle United F.C. booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Hrandabur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Lingren kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute George Huștiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, FC Luck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Levițchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Eduard Mutu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Luck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Luck had won after a very even match.
