Arnaldo da Fonseca started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Real Sociedad's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo da Fonseca came free, but Sauveur Lisundia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marko Bergkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libertad Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Christer Alkvist hit a great ball. Frédéric Pantel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Di Röe defense, Libertad Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Bergkvist. The Di Röe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Bergkvist should have stopped the shot. Marko Bergkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Libertad Sarmiento went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Real Sociedad's Sauveur Lisundia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Real Sociedad from getting a goal against them. In the 27th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Alkvist to maneuver through the defense. Marko Bergkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libertad Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Di Röe's Marko Bergkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Real Sociedad booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Han Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Jonny Alströmer took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Sauveur Lisundia to make any attempt to save it. Christer Alkvist's late challenge caught a Real Sociedad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Alkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40thth minute of the game Arnaldo da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Sociedad's Sauveur Lisundia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Di Röe's Marko Bergkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Urban Berglund hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Libertad Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marko Bergkvist. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Libertad Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Di Röe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Sociedad were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Dillies stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Arnaldo da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sauveur Lisundia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sauveur Lisundia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 56th minute of play. Igor Dillies hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Marko Bergkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Libertad Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 68th minute of the match Christer Alkvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Christer Alkvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 69 played minutes Di Röe got a freekick which was hit by Christer Alkvist. Libertad Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marko Bergkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Libertad Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Dillies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnaldo da Fonseca hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Di Röe's Marko Bergkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Alströmer in the 82nd minute of play forced Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Sauveur Lisundia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urban Berglund kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 87 minutes of play, Real Sociedad's Igor Dillies made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marko Bergkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 90th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper Marko Bergkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Dillies kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Di Röe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Sociedad's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Sociedad.
