In the 2nd minute, Gentil Candal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Albérico Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darell Frey in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Stowe City booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Espírito Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gentil Candal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Vides in the 25th minute of play forced Stowe City's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Hrabina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cason Rojas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31stth minute of the game Silvério Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stowe City's Hugo Orlando Hrabina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albérico Igrejas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cason Rojas in the 32nd minute of the match. Rhett Cox's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Albérico Igrejas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rhett Coxs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Albérico Igrejas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute Aristides Espírito Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Hrabina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Albérico Igrejas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rhett Cox. Rhett Cox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Albérico Igrejas made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Aristides Espírito Santo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Orlando Hrabina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvério Vides to strike the kick off in the second half. Israel Patrício charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Israel Patrício the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugo Orlando Hrabina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Espírito Santo in the 65th minute of the match. Hugo Orlando Hrabina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Vides in the 67th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Espírito Santo during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aristides Espírito Santo hit a great ball. Stowe City's Dwayne Grover was substituted for Olin Piper. Aristides Espírito Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Darell Frey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Albérico Igrejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Stowe City's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Espírito Santo came free, but Hugo Orlando Hrabina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s zone, Rhett Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albérico Igrejas came out of the goal and Rhett Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albérico Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhett Cox in the 80th minute of play. Gustav Gudmundsson charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustav Gudmundsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Israel Patrício recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Israel Patrício blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Orlando Hrabina having to make a save. Darell Frey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhett Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Albérico Igrejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Aristides Espírito Santo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Hugo Orlando Hrabina to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
