Albérico Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny van den Hoogen in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dirk Talsma in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albérico Igrejas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Israel Patrício got free with Laurens Oosterman in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman got control of the ball when Aristides Espírito Santo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Espírito Santo got free with Laurens Oosterman in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albérico Igrejas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Talsma in the 21st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dirk Talsma in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albérico Igrejas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Talsma came free, but Albérico Igrejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dirk Talsma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albérico Igrejas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When Dirk Talsma came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Talsma couldn't finish the play. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Albérico Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Talsma in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Talsma came free, but Albérico Igrejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elbert Spanjer was slow to take the kick. During this time De Pelgrims's players had a chance to rest. In the 45th minute of the match, Silvério Vides tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Laurens Oosterman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério Vides was the one to do the kick off. Tonnie Ter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Albérico Igrejas made a huge save. In the 59th minute Dirk Talsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Igrejas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tonnie Ter fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Tonnie Ter a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Tonnie Ter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Talsma came free, but Albérico Igrejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurens Oosterman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristides Espírito Santo's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 76 minutes, Gregório Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. and the De Pelgrims players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Lousada hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. De Pelgrims's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonnie Ter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurens Oosterman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Dirk Talsma kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The De Pelgrims players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
