Spectators: 7688 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Christian Lekubegi made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Lekubegi came free, but Alejandro Gervaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Delmar Berenguer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alejandro Gervaso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 15 minutes, Eleuterio Tipi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unidad de Matanza and the Copetonas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ulises Hurko shot from long distance in the 16th minute, but Gregorio Garikoitz was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Alejandro Gervaso came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Unidad de Matanza's Christian Lekubegi. But to his dismay, Christian Lekubegi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Apolo Lizbeth's late challenge caught a Unidad de Matanza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Lizbeth helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Copetonas AFC's Apolo Lizbeth got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Alejandro Gervaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Lekubegi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Christian Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Gervaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Gervaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Berenguer in the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when Copetonas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Isidoro Virila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Pello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alejandro Gervaso having to make a save. Alejandro Gervaso came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Unidad de Matanza's Christian Lekubegi. But to his dismay, Christian Lekubegi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atilano Mendiko to make the kick off. Gregorio Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Copetonas AFC's Apolo Lizbeth got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Apolo Lizbeth off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Lekubegi in the 66th minute of play forced Copetonas AFC's goalkeeper Alejandro Gervaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Berenguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santos Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Unidad de Matanza's Delmar Berenguer got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejandro Gervaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Alejandro Gervaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Pello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goalkeeper Alejandro Gervaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Lekubegi. The Unidad de Matanza fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Unidad de Matanza's Marcelo Pello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Copetonas AFC's Alejandro Gervaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Copetonas AFC from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Albino Iyan. In the 89th minute of the match Ulises Hurko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Garikoitz skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when Copetonas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Mendiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes, Unidad de Matanza's Delmar Berenguer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alejandro Gervaso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unidad de Matanza reached it. Severo Loco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unidad de Matanza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
