The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermengildo Etxeberri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Heimo Hytönen came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermengildo Etxeberri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Herkko Virolainen got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Juhapekka Eloranta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1984 Castelli Futbol the free kick. A long shot from Fernando Geofredo in the 12th minute of play was well struck, but Heimo Hytönen made a really good save at the right post. 1984 Castelli Futbol's Patricio Chano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Vauhkonen in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Enzo Ekain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heimo Hytönen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 21 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Etxeberri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Heimo Hytönen. Hermengildo Etxeberri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Hermengildo Etxeberri hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ilmo Möksy hit a great ball. Hermengildo Etxeberri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Heimo Hytönen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th minute Eustacio Horado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heimo Hytönen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, 1984 Castelli Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Horado to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, 1984 Castelli Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Ilmo Möksy came free, but Patricio Chano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Liverpool FC's Heimo Hytönen got control of the ball when Hermengildo Etxeberri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heimo Hytönen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Horado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liverpool FC's Heimo Hytönen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viljami Virtala to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Liverpool FC's protests and gave Aku Rissanen a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Aku Rissanen. In the 72nd minute, Eduardo Luzaide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1984 Castelli Futbol's Braulio Mirande pulled a muscle in his back after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ilmo Möksy charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilmo Möksy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Ilmo Möksy got a free kick in the 74th minute. The supporters of 1984 Castelli Futbol booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juhapekka Eloranta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aku Rissanen hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Paul Vauhkonen hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Heimo Hytönen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Horado, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Enzo Ekain took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heimo Hytönen. Heimo Hytönen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 1984 Castelli Futbol were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Liverpool FC for a fine match.
