The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Augusto Sá got free with Alejandro Gervaso in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Misericordia EC's Alejandro Gervaso threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bob Gøl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bob Gøl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Gervaso having to interfere. Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Gaizko in the 10th minute of play. When Misericordia EC's Zico Matamoros in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Zé Augusto Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Misericordia EC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Zé Augusto Sá hit a great ball. Bob Maravilha kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Copetonas AFC's Alejandro Gervaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Copetonas AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Misericordia EC's Ian Brasil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alejandro Gervaso. Alejandro Gervaso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atilano Mendiko to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Sá came free, but Alejandro Gervaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Gervaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Augusto Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Severo Loco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Copetonas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Loco couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Maravilha came free, but Alejandro Gervaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Gervaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Gøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Copetonas AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
