Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dionysis Papageorgopoulos kicked off to start the match. Luis Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionysis Papageorgopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Vassilis Karataidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kolopetinitsa's supporters rose to their feet, but Vassilis Karataidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Swain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 7 minutes, Kostas Zisopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kolopetinitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kostas Zisopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.D. Bajen's Luis Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionysis Papageorgopoulos in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Makis Psomas in the 11th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Luis Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Rosen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stergios Samartzis. Kolopetinitsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Rosen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kolopetinitsa's zone, Woodrow Baggett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stergios Samartzis came out of the goal and Woodrow Baggett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Kostas Zisopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Swain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Blair Lusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Stergios Samartzis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Zisopoulos in the 25th minute of the match. If Woodrow Baggett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionysis Papageorgopoulos in the 29th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Luis Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionysis Papageorgopoulos in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Swain saved S.D. Bajen from getting behind. With an all-out effort, S.D. Bajen's Stergios Samartzis threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenzo Rosen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 34th minute of the match, Shaun Cobb got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stergios Samartzis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lorenzo Rosen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionysis Papageorgopoulos in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Swain saved S.D. Bajen from getting behind. Makis Psomas charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Makis Psomas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makis Psomas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Lusk in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stergios Samartzis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Spyros Papazoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blair Lusk made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kolopetinitsa's goal looked a bit too open when Blair Lusk came free, but Stergios Samartzis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makis Psomas to maneuver through the defense. Larry Jackson charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Larry Jackson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kolopetinitsa booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Jackson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dionysis Papageorgopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Swain was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Luis Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vassilis Karataidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Luis Swain was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Vassilis Karataidis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vassilis Karataidis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. S.D. Bajen's Darius Seals was substituted for Jorge Baez. S.D. Bajen were furious when Adrian Murillo was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 68th minute, Adrian Murillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes Kolopetinitsa got a freekick which was hit by Tasos Pagias. S.D. Bajen's Pete Maxwell was substituted for Troy Cabourne. After a rather tough play, Kolopetinitsa's Tasos Pagias got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 79 minutes Kolopetinitsa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Blair Lusk who took care of the corner kick. S.D. Bajen's Lorenzo Rosen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stergios Samartzis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. S.D. Bajen's Luis Swain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save S.D. Bajen from getting a goal against them. Stergios Samartzis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Cobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionysis Papageorgopouloss short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Luis Swain to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kolopetinitsa's Stergios Samartzis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Lusk in the 89th minute of play. Luis Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionysis Papageorgopoulos in the 90th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kolopetinitsa's Vassilis Karataidis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luis Swain. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kolopetinitsa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
