Spectators: 7686 (Terracing: 5765, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jonathan Ahlgren took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Brothers of Mercy's Jonathan Ahlgren in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VB-Team's goalie prevented a goal. In the 8th minute of the match Nuno Saraiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicklas Tidén showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, VB-Team's Durval Póvoas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicklas Tidén. Nicklas Tidén yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jonathan Ahlgren sped through VB-Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilídio Onofre. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Póvoas during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 37 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilídio Onofre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Ilídio Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Ahlgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ilídio Onofre came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman. But to his dismay, Ulf Öfverman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The VB-Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brothers of Mercy were winning 1-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telmo Bulhosa made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Jonathan Ahlgren notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of VB-Team's Ilídio Onofre. Ilídio Onofre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Ilídio Onofre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Ahlgren. Brothers of Mercy's Nicklas Tidén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Póvoas in the 57th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilídio Onofre was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Ahlgren got free with Ilídio Onofre in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute of the game Rafael Matos made a throw-in which Nuno Saraiva played forward. Ilídio Onofre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Öfverman went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. Ilídio Onofre was a little too slow when Ulf Öfverman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-10. When Rafael Matos fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VB-Team's protests and gave Rafael Matos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk got a free kick in the 85th minute. Durval Póvoas struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Nicklas Tidén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VB-Team. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Durval Póvoas managed to get in a good position for a shot. VB-Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Póvoas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicklas Tidén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ilídio Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Rafael Matos was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 95th minute, Rafael Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Brothers of Mercy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
