Igor Erruki scored 0-2 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilijano Martinez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Freezerpool FC's Emilijano Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Gelmiro in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Igor Erruki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilijano Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Pirmin hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Omar Gelmiro took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilijano Martinez. Emilijano Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Emilijano Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Estrellas de Caballito's Jaime Venceslao got control of the ball when Robert Lewandowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Estrellas de Caballito's Patricio Sabin made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilijano Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Omar Gelmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrellas de Caballito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Estrellas de Caballito's Jaime Venceslao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Estrellas de Caballito from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joshua Kimmich during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Freezerpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Kimmich to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Freezerpool FC's zone, Matias Montrelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilijano Martinez came out of the goal and Matias Montrelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Freezerpool FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estrellas de Caballito were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Gelmiro made a kick off. Emilijano Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Gelmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Gelmiro got free with Emilijano Martinez in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Gelmiro in the 66th minute of play forced Freezerpool FC's goalkeeper Emilijano Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Txanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Mats Hummels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freezerpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrellas de Caballito the free kick. In the 86th minute, Elias Pirmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Gelmiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Emilijano Martinez made a huge save. Ignacio Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Freezerpool FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Damian Rojelio hit a great ball. Emilijano Martinez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Pitin. Jaime Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Lewandowski in the 96th minute of play. The Estrellas de Caballito supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estrellas de Caballito would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
