The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Viseu United getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Alcides Antas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domenico Sabatino. Sorci Viola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino got control of the ball when Alcides Antas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorge Caetano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Toninelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amado Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Viseu United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Salazar couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Zoff in the 32nd minute of play forced Viseu United's goalkeeper Jorge Caetano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Salazar scored 2-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domenico Sabatino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Viseu United's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Zoff came free, but Jorge Caetano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Anfilogino Chiola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Caetano was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The wind increased when Beppe Zoff made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Salazar in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domenico Sabatino saved Sorci Viola from getting behind. Alcides Antas scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domenico Sabatino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Amado Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Sabatino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Zoff in the 70th minute of play forced Viseu United's goalkeeper Jorge Caetano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Viseu United got a freekick which was hit by Cemal Metin. After a rather tough play, Viseu United's Cemal Metin got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Viseu United defense, Amerigo Toninelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Caetano. The Viseu United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Caetano should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Viseu United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Antas in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Marques in the 85th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Marques in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domenico Sabatino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adelino Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domenico Sabatino having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Marques came free, but Domenico Sabatino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Viseu United booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Vaiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Viseu United's Adelino Marques in 96 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Domenico Sabatino guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Adelino Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Marques in the 98th minute of play. Many of Sorci Viola's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sorci Viola may have spent more time on the ball, but Viseu United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
