Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Minas Bissias started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fivos Daskalakis during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Bazellatin F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fivos Daskalakis. Sheriff's Giannis Basinas shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Michalis Pergaminos but with some difficulty. 6 minutes into the match, Minas Bissias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michalis Pergaminos, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dimitris Kapopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheriff's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitris Kapopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michalis Pergaminos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Loukas Zografakis came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sheriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loukas Zografakis couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the game, Sheriff's Argyris Kalaitzidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michalis Pergaminos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Omiros Kaloumenos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Michalis Pergaminos. That made the score 3-0 in the 14 minute of play. The supporters of Sheriff booed when Bazellatin F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fivos Daskalakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michalis Pergaminos made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Argyris Kalaitzidis sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Bazellatin F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Omiros Chelioudakis hit a great ball. Minas Bissias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giannis Basinas struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Michalis Pergaminos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheriff. Michalis Pergaminos made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Giannis Basinas sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Michalis Pergaminos managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Sheriff's Minas Bissias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Omiros Kaloumenos came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sheriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omiros Kaloumenos couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Argyris Kalaitzidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michalis Pergaminos, 5-0. Minas Bissias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Michalis Pergaminos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 39 minutes, Minas Bissias made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bazellatin F.C.'s Michalis Pergaminos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Omiros Kaloumenos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michalis Pergaminos. The goal made the score 7-0. Giorgos Sardelis hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.
After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Dimitris Kabitsis got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Michalis Pergaminos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukas Zografakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Fivos Daskalakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Apostolis Kaliasis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michalis Pergaminos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Minas Bissias went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Sakis Panagoulis notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Bazellatin F.C.'s Michalis Pergaminos. Michalis Pergaminos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michalis Pergaminos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Argyris Kalaitzidis went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-1 was the resulting score. Filippos Lazakis's late challenge caught a Bazellatin F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filippos Lazakis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Filippos Lazakis got a free kick in the 84th minute. Fivos Daskalakis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Sheriff's Sakis Panagoulis got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Sakis Panagoulis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sheriff fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 14-1. Michalis Pergaminos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Minas Bissias, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Sheriff were the better team. Sheriff's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
