Cătălin Ioanițiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ucok Baba in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bawang Merah came free, but Cătălin Ioanițiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Aurelio Martorella hit a great ball. Aurelio Martorella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anak Habib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Paganelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAPI FC's Anak Habib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Pittelli in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SAPI FC's Haji Abidin got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Ucok Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santoryu FC made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 87th minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Cătălin Ioanițiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cătălin Ioanițiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmas Muttaqien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
