After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Jorge Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube de Gaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yannis Specht breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg António Trubin managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when The Original Wonderteam's Herman De Strijcker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th minute, Fredy Montero made a precise shot to the right of Yannis Specht. The Original Wonderteam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Yannis Specht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Lisboa in the 17th minute of the match. Jan-Joost De kaiser's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube de Gaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Joost De kaiser helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Original Wonderteam getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jan-Joost De kaiser hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Manuel Porto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of The Original Wonderteam's Yannis Specht. Yannis Specht was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yannis Specht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Yannis Specht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Lisboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, The Original Wonderteam's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Lisboa came free, but Yannis Specht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Jorge Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannis Specht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jan-Joost De kaiser was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. 37 minutes into the match, The Original Wonderteam's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Porto came free, but Yannis Specht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Original Wonderteam's Janes Wolput got a free kick in the 38th minute. The Original Wonderteam's Yannis Specht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredy Montero in the 39th minute of play. Manuel Porto took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yannis Specht. Yannis Specht dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Yannis Specht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredy Montero in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to The Original Wonderteam getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Herman De Strijcker hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Sporting Clube de Gaya's Aparício Silveira was substituted for João Tinoco. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evert Hostens was the one to do the kick off. Yannis Specht made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Porto in the 56th minute. The supporters of Sporting Clube de Gaya booed when The Original Wonderteam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre de Neuyter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Manuel Porto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After 63 minutes, Jorge Lisboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube de Gaya and the The Original Wonderteam players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, The Original Wonderteam's goalkeeper Yannis Specht had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredy Montero. Manuel Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Yannis Specht made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Aparício Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yannis Specht was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. With a little luck, The Original Wonderteam's Yannis Specht got control of the ball when Fredy Montero tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Original Wonderteam's Herman De Strijcker got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yannis Specht made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Jorge Lisboa sent off a good shot on target. Yannis Specht made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredy Montero in the 86th minute. Yannis Specht came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube de Gaya's Manuel Porto. But to his dismay, Manuel Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredy Montero got free with Yannis Specht in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the game, Jorge Lisboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Yannis Specht was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
