Leo Campana might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isac Floricel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Campana ran back to his position shaking his head. When KS LEW Chorzów's Leo Campana in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Emerald's goalie prevented a goal. Isac Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Degas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Victor Piţurcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Campana in the 11th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Isac Floricel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Emerald's zone, Leo Campana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Floricel came out of the goal and Leo Campana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Leo Campana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Campana in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isac Floricel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darius Olaru hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Roland Muusik came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the KS LEW Chorzów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Muusik couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute of the match KS LEW Chorzów got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dariusz Misiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to KS LEW Chorzów's Jakub Zjawin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 34th minute of play forced KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Herbert Oliszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Oliszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Oliszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Olaru in the 39th minute of the match. With 41 minutes on the clock, Jakub Zjawin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, KS LEW Chorzów's Jakub Zjawin got a free kick in the 41st minute. Emerald were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after KS LEW Chorzów's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Piţurcă took the corner. The supporters of Emerald booed when KS LEW Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Sokol didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When Valeriu Râmniceanu fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emerald's protests and gave Valeriu Râmniceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Râmniceanu to maneuver through the defense. Isac Floricel made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Edgar Degas sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Edgar Degas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Floricel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Degas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The Emerald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isac Floricel should have stopped the shot. Roland Muusik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isac Floricel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
