Thanks to some nice moves Sergei Kanner could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Sigvardt Bech however easily saved by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Sigvardt Bech successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sigvardt Bech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sune Heidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Sune Heidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when Holmkjar Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Kjærbye didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Sune Heidal. In the 23rd minute, Oliver Brunstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bøje Dyssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åge Stjernerose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Yin Chen Ling came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Monks in Robes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yin Chen Ling couldn't finish the play. Bøje Dyssen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Åge Stjernerose went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Monks in Robes getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sune Heidal hit a great ball. Sune Heidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvardt Bech having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Yin Chen Ling. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Holmkjar Hotspurs's Sigvardt Bech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sune Heidal in the 57th minute of play. Monks in Robes's Sune Heidal got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sune Heidal during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Monks in Robes getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sune Heidal hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Sune Heidal made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. In the 81st minute, Hansmorten Sulthing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Holmkjar Hotspurs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Sigvardt Bech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
