In the 17th minute of the match Matthew Brookman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernest Ştati showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matthew Brookman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ernest Ştati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Brânzaș in the 22nd minute of play. Jonny Wilkinson's late challenge caught a Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonny Wilkinson helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Wilkinson. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Brânzaș in the 34th minute of play. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Egg Chasers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iustinian Spirea took the corner. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sorin Lipan was the one to do the kick off. Ernest Ştati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Sanderson in the 50th minute of the match. In the 52nd match minute, Egg Chasers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Brookman to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Costică Brânzaș dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 63rd minute Costică Brânzaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alistair Riley charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alistair Riley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Alistair Riley got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 71st match minute, Egg Chasers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Brookman to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matthew Brookman who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Egg Chasers FC's corner Matthew Brookman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ernest Ştati quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez got control of the ball when Sorin Lipan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernest Ştati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Des Wicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s goal looked a bit too open when Des Wicks came free, but Ernest Ştati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Lipan to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Des Wicks in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Ştati saved Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ from getting behind. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Ernest Ştati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Brookman in the 85th minute of play. Costică Brânzaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Barthez having to interfere. Lennie Sanderson hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Dacian Burnei kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
