AFC United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselmo Arnas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led The Cavern Club's Anselmo Arnas to fire away a dangerous shot which Cisco Rubial despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Arnas came free, but Cisco Rubial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, The Cavern Club's Anselmo Arnas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cisco Rubial. Cisco Rubial yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Arsenio Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Vall, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Cavern Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilen Martioda was slow to take the kick. During this time AFC United's players had a chance to rest. AFC United's Gilen Martioda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arsenio Javiar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javiero Velunza during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 50 played minutes, AFC United's Gilen Martioda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arsenio Javiar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC United reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Hunfredo was the one to do the kick off. Nicanor Urtun kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Vesga. In the 62nd match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Vesga to maneuver through the defense. Cisco Rubial stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Hunfredo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Egun Galan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Egun Galan came free, but Arsenio Javiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Jhonny Evans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cisco Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Hunfredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Cavern Club had won after a very even match.
