FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Vornicu in the 15th minute of play. Ekhemos Kezdoglou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Islam Slimani's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Vlad Dragomiroiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ekhemos Kezdoglou. The goal made the score 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Nicu Vornicu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu. Alex Buzincu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicu Vornicu's late challenge caught a FC Buzău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicu Vornicu helped the player get up and apologised. Nicu Vornicu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Castel Prabes came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ekhemos Kezdoglou could save by the left post. Nicu Vornicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Castel Prabes to make the kick off. Alex Buzincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gigel Durbac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Vornicu during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of FC Buzău:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alex Buzincu had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Nicu Vornicu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nicu Vornicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alex Buzincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu got control of the ball when Gigel Durbac tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Logofătu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Vornicu got free with Alex Buzincu in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vicente Padro charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Padro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Acatar getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Vicente Padro hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
