Alisson Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Appleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Alisson Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alastair Greenman in the 16th minute of play. Lucas Head Son might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Henwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Head Son ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Percival Campidelis got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Ryan Skinner threw the ball into play from the sideline. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Jorge da Silva quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alisson Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Appleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Head Son recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liam Appleton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Pierre Smart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staffy Terrier FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA the free kick. Lucas Head Son blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Henwood having to make a save. Tony Henwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Head Son, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Valencia came free, but Tony Henwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Fred Valencia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Alastair Greenman came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Staffy Terrier FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alastair Greenman couldn't finish the play. Staffy Terrier FC's Felix Gilchrist was substituted for Pierre Smart. Staffy Terrier FC's Andre Whiteley was substituted for Grant Black. After 69 played minutes Staffy Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Ron Hicks. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Head Son in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Henwood prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alastair Greenman got free with Alisson Goycochea in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Andre Whiteley fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staffy Terrier FC's protests and gave Andre Whiteley a yellow card for diving instead. Tony Henwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Head Son in the 78th minute of the match. When Fred Valencia came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Valencia couldn't finish the play. Alastair Greenman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Alisson Goycochea made a huge save. In the 88th minute, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Orlando Loyola seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Orlando Loyola the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Orlando Loyola had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th match minute, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Nath Pointon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Gerson Rezende got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
