Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) In the 4th minute Christopher Camilleri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Colin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Gianluca Dalli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Meerkats FC's zone, Gunnar Hamnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Seracino Inglott came out of the goal and Gunnar Hamnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Villiam Pil came free, but Daniel Seracino Inglott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Colin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Grixti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Seracino Inglott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Lindberg in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Axel Nilsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daniel Seracino Inglott was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lars Colin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Camilleri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Olof Wallman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Christopher Camilleri made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars Colin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdemar Lindberg charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdemar Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Ralles Bollklubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Lindberg to maneuver through the defense. Meerkats FC's Christopher Camilleri got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Christopher Camilleri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lars Colin. Ralles Bollklubb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Camilleri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Christopher Camilleri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Colin having to interfere. After the first half Meerkats FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdemar Lindberg was the one to do the kick off. If Stephen Bonnici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56thth minute of the game Christopher Camilleri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ralles Bollklubb's Lars Colin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Stephen Saliba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Meerkats FC's Christopher Camilleri got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christopher Camilleri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lars Colin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villiam Pil's late challenge caught a Meerkats FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Villiam Pil helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Meerkats FC's Nicholas Grixti got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lars Colin. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Stephen Saliba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerkats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stephen Saliba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Colin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Ralles Bollklubb's Lars Colin got control of the ball when Shaun Lentini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nathan Sant charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathan Sant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Meerkats FC's Daniel Seracino Inglott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Lindberg in the 85th minute of play. Lars Colin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Camilleri in the 86th minute of the match. Christopher Camilleri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Ralles Bollklubb's goalkeeper Lars Colin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Camilleri. Lars Colin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Camilleri, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. With a little luck, Ralles Bollklubb's Lars Colin got control of the ball when Christopher Camilleri tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Ralles Bollklubb getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Samuel Rönn hit a great ball. When the match was over Meerkats FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ralles Bollklubb throughout the match.
