Stephen Saliba hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Anders Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Tabone in the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Trojanskahästen's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Camilleri came free, but Anders Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Trojanskahästen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Kihlberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Carl Chircop put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anders Söderström. Anders Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Saliba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Seracino Inglott was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ludwig Molin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Ludwig Molin took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Seracino Inglott. Daniel Seracino Inglott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Stig-Åke Bäckman hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Carl Chircop cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Anders Söderström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Trojanskahästen getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Knut Uggla hit a great ball. Zach Testaferrata Viani kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludwig Molin to strike the kick off in the second half. Carl Chircop charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Chircop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carl Chircop hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. With 69 minutes on the clock, Ralf Bergren commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trojanskahästen! The goalkeeper, Anders Söderström, was totally fooled by Meerkats FC's Nicholas Grixti, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Anders Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Saliba in the 74th minute of play. Carl Chircop hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The Trojanskahästen fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Trojanskahästen's Ludwig Molin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carl Chircop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Trojanskahästen's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Camilleri came free, but Anders Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Vacker charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Vacker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Trojanskahästen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Vacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Trojanskahästen's Ralf Engström got a free kick in the 97th minute. In the 100th minute Meerkats FC were awarded a corner. Nicholas Grixti went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Trojanskahästen's goalie and right to Alexander Micallef. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Trojanskahästen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trojanskahästen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Meerkats FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
