In the 13th minute Estefan Gavilanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Lago came free, but Rameriz Zubiaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Vaz came free, but Rameriz Zubiaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Lago in the 19th minute of play forced Nova Soccer's goalkeeper Rameriz Zubiaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lia Cortadelles during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Lia Cortadelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Soccer's Lia Cortadelles got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Lia Cortadelles off the ground. The supporters of E.C. Galera booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lia Cortadelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to E.C. Galera getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Olavo de Medeiros hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play, E.C. Galera's Evandro Loyola made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rameriz Zubiaur was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, E.C. Galera's Olavo de Medeiros got a free kick in the 30th minute. Martxelin Revenga struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Agostinho de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Soccer. Rameriz Zubiaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Loyola in the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Lago in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rameriz Zubiaur saved Nova Soccer from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Olavo de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Evandro Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rameriz Zubiaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martxelin Revenga made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Martxelin Revenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martxelin Revenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when André Maranhense came free, but Rameriz Zubiaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Villalaud charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Villalaud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Villalaud hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, Nova Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estefan Gavilanes to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Nova Soccer defense, Virgílio Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rameriz Zubiaur. The Nova Soccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rameriz Zubiaur should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Lago came free, but Rameriz Zubiaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes E.C. Galera got a freekick which was hit by Deivid de Sousa. Nova Soccer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Virgílio Lago scored to the left of an out of position Rameriz Zubiaur, making the score, 0-4. A collision led to Nova Soccer getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Froilan Gatell hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Silvério Munhoz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rameriz Zubiaur showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Nova Soccer's Rameriz Zubiaur got control of the ball when Virgílio Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sidney Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goalkeeper Rameriz Zubiaur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Loyola. 95 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Lago came free, but Rameriz Zubiaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agostinho de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Soccer's Martxelin Revenga. But to his dismay, Martxelin Revenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. E.C. Galera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
