Claudinho Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Batista came free, but Gregorio Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinho Medeiros in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorio Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nauzet Fontaner 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 30th match minute, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Faria to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Nauzet Fontaner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Pinto came out of the goal and Claudinho Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Claudinho Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but union española s.a.'s Gregorio Pinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Quilapan made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Santos came free, but Gregorio Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
