The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Cascadia United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Duarte Camargo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Gutierrez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Cascadia United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Chester Bennington's Jorge Coutinho in action when he in the 7th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 10 minutes into the game, Nemesio Raymond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cascadia United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chester Bennington the free kick. A collision led to Cascadia United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nemesio Raymond hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Tepedino came free, but Dario Gutierrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Doriva Esteves made a precise shot to the right of Dario Gutierrez. Cascadia United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 21st minute, Luiz Fábio Tepedino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chester Bennington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Chester Bennington's zone, Aureliano Rafel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Valladares came out of the goal and Aureliano Rafel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Esteves in the 27th minute of play. Dario Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jeremias Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Dario Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Tepedino in the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Octavio Ellande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cascadia United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chester Bennington the free kick. Octavio Ellande hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Filomeno Suero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Coutinho fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 41st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. 43 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Gutierrez. Cascadia United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fábio Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Dario Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Tepedino in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fábio Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Chester Bennington got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Camargo. Dario Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Custódio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Delmar Toro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Jorge Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Chester Bennington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Coutinho couldn't finish the play. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cascadia United from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Cascadia United defense, Tiago Gabriel Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Gutierrez. The Cascadia United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Gutierrez should have stopped the shot. After 70 minutes, Aureliano Rafel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cascadia United and the Chester Bennington players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Geovânio Tróia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dario Gutierrez. That made the score 0-5 in the 71 minute of play. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Cascadia United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Rafel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Coutinho took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dario Gutierrez. Dario Gutierrez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6.
