After a defensive mix-up in Darıca Gençlerbirliği's zone, Freddy Hernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferhat Reis came out of the goal and Freddy Hernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute Rodrigo Mogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferhat Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Gencer Alpman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legacy Youth Academy the free kick. The supporters of Legacy Youth Academy booed when Darıca Gençlerbirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position.
