After 6 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Dan Høines. When Dan Høines fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Nerd Herd's protests and gave Dan Høines a yellow card for diving instead. Dan Høines hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Lite Finare Lite Bättre got a freekick which was hit by Tim Sjögren. If Dan Høines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Sjögren's late challenge caught a The Nerd Herd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Sjögren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of The Nerd Herd booed when Lite Finare Lite Bättre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Sjögren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ove Svingen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Høines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Gunnar Bengtsson got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Axel Norland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Nerd Herd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lite Finare Lite Bättre the free kick. A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Axel Norland hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Tim Sjögren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jon-Inge Kolberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lite Finare Lite Bättre reached it. If Dan Høines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Magnus Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Svingen in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dan Høines made the kick off in the second half. If Edwin Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Frode Kjellevold. When Leonard Göransson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Lite Finare Lite Bättre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Göransson couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, Charlie Bergsten notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of The Nerd Herd's Jon-Inge Kolberg. Jon-Inge Kolberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Gunnar Bengtsson got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes Lite Finare Lite Bättre got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Bengtsson. After a rather tough play, The Nerd Herd's Frode Kjellevold got a free kick in the 91st minute. Leonard Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
