Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Simoneta FC's Manuel Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Benê Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amancio Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Váldson de Queirós acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ivan Atarrabi. Bonifacio Licerio's late challenge caught a Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Licerio helped the player get up and apologised. Bonifacio Licerio kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Paes in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Vitin saved Simoneta FC from getting behind. When Bonifacio Licerio came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Simoneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Licerio couldn't finish the play. Benê Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Vitin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Paulinho Costa got a free kick in the 28th minute. Benê Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Licerio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Benê Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Vitin having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benê Sabóia to make the kick off. Manuel Ovando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Váldson de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benê Sabóia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Amancio Vitin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Afonso Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Vitin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Miliano in the 64th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Váldson de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Benê Sabóia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amancio Vitin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Benê Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A collision led to Simoneta FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Nicasio Formerio hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Adrian Miliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Zé Valle from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Amancio Vitin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 95 minutes, Adrian Miliano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simoneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Miliano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palmeiras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
