Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) 6 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goalkeeper Giles Valkeneers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fabiano Netto. Cristóvão Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Giles Valkeneers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar de Andrade. If Dave Goorts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Severo during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Brugge getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Arend de Pelsmakere hit a great ball. If Luís Fabiano Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilian Jannis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giles Valkeneers made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Luís Fabiano Netto sent off a good shot on target. Luís Fabiano Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giles Valkeneers having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Dave Goorts made the kick off in the second half. Luís Fabiano Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. In the 53rd match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Netto to maneuver through the defense. Guilian Jannis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Célio Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Cristóvão Mattos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cristóvão Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Luís Fabiano Netto got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Guará FC defense, Dave Goorts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Mendonça. The Guará FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Mendonça should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Cristóvão Mattos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guará FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cristóvão Mattos scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giles Valkeneers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mazinho Campidelis during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mazinho Campidelis hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guará FC had won after a very even match.
