Herberts Mendziņš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FRANK's Ole-Gunnar Haugerud got control of the ball when Rinalds Brencsons tried to sneak it across the goal line. FRANK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GAUJA the free kick. FRANK's Ole-Gunnar Haugerud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FRANK from getting a goal against them. FRANK's Ole-Gunnar Haugerud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frīdis Smukais in the 26th minute of play. Ole-Gunnar Haugerud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uldis Kuzītis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, FRANK's goalkeeper Ole-Gunnar Haugerud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rinalds Brencsons. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rinalds Brencsons got free with Ole-Gunnar Haugerud in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frīdis Smukais scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ole-Gunnar Haugerud, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frīdis Smukais in the 68th minute of play forced FRANK's goalkeeper Ole-Gunnar Haugerud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ole-Gunnar Haugerud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rinalds Brencsons in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 minutes, Kent Skoge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FRANK and the GAUJA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Kent Skoge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Rinalds Brencsons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GAUJA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After having played for 84 minutes, Aldis Liestiņš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAUJA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldis Liestiņš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ole-Gunnar Haugerud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uldis Kuzītis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
