The wind increased when Arnulfo Barea made the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Barea's late challenge caught a Newcastle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Barea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Club Dep. Union Madereros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Albino Maldonado got control of the ball when Karol Panasewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Filomeno Salamon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Elpidio Oinatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbigniew Betonowy having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Filomeno Salamon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbigniew Betonowy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3.
