The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nilson Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Perry in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Campeche FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Alfonzo Albrecht was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Key Biscayne FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campeche FC the free kick. Key Biscayne FC's Cedric Earl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Braga in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Abel Braga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cedric Earl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abel Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Cedric Earl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Key Biscayne FC's Cedric Earl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Key Biscayne FC from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes, Derek Perry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Key Biscayne FC and the Campeche FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Derek Perry kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lauro Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cedric Earl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Brodel notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Key Biscayne FC's Cedric Earl. Cedric Earl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Campeche FC's Abel Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgílio Guimarães succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Abel Braga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cedric Earl. That made the score 4-0 in the 30 minute of play. When Campeche FC's Nelsinho Brodel in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Key Biscayne FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cedric Earl made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Abel Braga sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Cedric Earl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Braga. Nelsinho Brodel struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Cedric Earl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeche FC. When Key Biscayne FC's Alfonzo Albrecht in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derek Perry was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Brodel in the 53rd minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Cedric Earl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Campeche FC's Abel Braga in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Key Biscayne FC's zone, Lauro Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedric Earl came out of the goal and Lauro Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Campeche FC made a substitution. Guga Seco replaced Luís Eduardo Pirani. Nelsinho Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nelsinho Brodel struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cedric Earl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeche FC. In the 85thth minute of the game Abel Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Key Biscayne FC's Cedric Earl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Abel Braga made a precise shot to the right of Cedric Earl. Key Biscayne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Nelsinho Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Cedric Earl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Campeche FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
