Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rene Millares kicked off to start the match. After 7 minutes, Txema Mudarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tirant lo Blanch and the Borussia Dortmund players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tirant lo Blanch getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Txema Mudarra hit a great ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Eli Alvarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirant lo Blanch's Luis-Antonio Jurado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis-Antonio Jurado came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Rene Millares. But to his dismay, Rene Millares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Millares came free, but Luis-Antonio Jurado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Juan Sánchez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Neriz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Aniceto Canal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Neriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Demesio Tarapiella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tirant lo Blanch the free kick. Rene Millares hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Borussia Dortmund were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Sánchez to make the kick off. Hernan Neriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altzibar Silvestre in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demesio Tarapiella to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Neriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Altzibar Silvestre in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Roi Seseña hit a great ball. After 67 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund's Rene Millares made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis-Antonio Jurado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Sánchez in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Neriz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tirant lo Blanch's Juan Sánchez in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borussia Dortmund's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Rene Millares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Millares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Borussia Dortmund's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
