Spectators: 7021 (Terracing: 5280, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 2) C. A. Atlanta's Mario Padro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, one of C. A. Atlanta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. C. A. Atlanta:s Arnoldo Kismi showed great skill when he stopped Dedê Brodel:s penalty. In the 9th minute, Ademir Leme made a precise shot to the right of Arnoldo Kismi. C. A. Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ademir Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Arnoldo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mario Padro fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Atlanta's protests and gave Mario Padro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pombal 2003 F.C. booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Padro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Leonel Andrade in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Padro couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Leonel Andrade made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Faro. Arnoldo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Andrade in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Arnoldo Kismi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelinho Abraão. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Padro in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Arósio saved Pombal 2003 F.C. from getting behind. C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Andrade in the 75th minute of play. Arnoldo Kismi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelinho Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Pedrinho Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilson Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Padro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Kismi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2.
