The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Jacek Jaszyna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sigi Verschüren. Fc Schönhagen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacek Jaszyna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 8th minute Andreas Nomayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Sobania saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norbert Kilar got free with Sigi Verschüren in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fc Schönhagen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Jacek Jaszyna scored to the left of an out of position Sigi Verschüren, making the score, 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Fc Schönhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Jaszyna came free, but Sigi Verschüren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Schönhagen's Sigi Verschüren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacek Jaszyna in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Jacek Jaszyna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sigi Verschüren. The goal made the score 3-0. With an all-out effort, Milan Pogoń's Sigi Verschüren threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacek Jaszyna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norbert Kilar got free with Sigi Verschüren in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sigi Verschüren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacek Jaszyna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Nomayo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Fc Schönhagen booed when Milan Pogoń was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Kazimierz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fc Schönhagen's Andreas Nomayo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Milan Pogoń. Sigi Verschüren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Kazimierz in the 54th minute of play. Sigi Verschüren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Kilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Fc Schönhagen got a freekick which was hit by Bertram Doual. Sigi Verschüren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Kilar in the 65th minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Milan Pogoń's Jacek Jaszyna made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigi Verschüren was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Olav Scheffler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Fc Schönhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Misiorowski came free, but Sigi Verschüren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sigi Verschüren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Kilar went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Milan Pogoń's Wit Barowicz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee ended the match the Milan Pogoń players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
